I am sick and tired of hearing or reading anything about the young man that chose to live a life of crime and the see lack of respect for the law enforcement officer who was placing his life on the line, sworn to protect the community he patrolled. I have seen many posts regarding this incidence. It is repulsive on how society has protected criminals and allows this behavior to continue. Apparently people enjoy berating the easy target; after all who has the balls to go after the criminal... Thats right its not you or I... it is the law enforcement officer that places 15-20 lbs of gear upon their waste, wears Kevlar over their chests, and gets in their car every shift not knowing if that domestic call will be their last, the driver with the expired tag they are pulling over has a gun and hates cops and lastly if that gang of teens loitering in the park after hours they need to run off has a gun too. I strongly urge you all to put yourself in the shoes of a law enforcement officer, go do a ride along... then you will see with your own eyes the pure ignorance, the heartache and sometimes the small victories that a law enforcement officer goes through in just one shift on any given day.
