I am sick to death of rich people telling us to follow our passion or something similar...Some of us, of course, are lucky enough to get to do that...But for most of us, this is a recipe for going broke. Thats because, sadly, the world tends to assign a low market value to most of our passions. Heres some better advice: try to avoid stuff that you hate. I admit that this is less uplifting, but its generally more achievable and produces reasonable results. -- Kevin Drum ...which reminds me, I was having an imaginary conversation with a friend of mine about what Im trying to do with Social Terrorism at an Affordable Price, where it comes from, etc., and he said something about passion that posed it as an opposite to the rational, and I asked, Why cant passion be rational as well?... Im still chewing over whether that makes any sense or not, is why I havent already posted about it...
