I am watching the New York Marathon, and I must admit that it is so incredible to see the entire city of New York, a city so immense that it is hard to conceive of its scale and scope, and the amount of activity that takes place there on any given day, completely devote itself to this event. There are three televisions where I am staying, and they are all broadcasting the NYC Marathon. The front runners, are running like machines. I have been a Triathlete, and so I know something about endurance. To run the way these world class runners do, is something impossible for me to comprehend. Right now, there is a foot race between the first two women, the lead girls are separated by ten feet, after almost twenty six miles. The lead has just changed, these people run with such courage. The first two men are in a foot race, separated by spitting distance. At Mile 22. It brings tears to my eyes. Many NYC Marathons I have watched as the runners came off of Fifth Avenue, and turned east on CPS. There is less than a mile to go at that point, and I have seen the lead change right there on Central Park South, in front of the NYAC. That will give you goosebumps over every inch of your body. This is a Great Event, in the Greatest City in the World, with the Greatest People in the World. Because New Yorkers come from all over the World, to prove that we can survive with the diversity that God created for us All. God Bless All Participants in the NYC Marathon 2013.
