I appreciate that women are beginning to witness a truth; that they are more likely to become involved with an asshole than the nice guy. More often than not I have witnessed women who choose the guy who belittles her and treats her poorly, than the guy who is head over heels for her however is too shy to express it. Women tend to use the nice guys for emotional support because their current relationship may offer superficial qualities (financial support, physical requirements, etc.) but they lack a deeper bond. Instead she turns to her male friend; the nice guy. For the majority of my life Ive been the guy to whom a woman goes to when she has problems to help her work through them, to help lift her spirits and to offer support. Given that women have been treated as whores and objects through most of human history, it only makes sense that they are naturally attracted to such beasts. Only now women are becoming aware they deserve better and that better exists. Only now is the nice guy being seen for who he is: sensitive, caring, funny, sweet, and charming. The saying Nice guys finish last holds true, and now we see the beginnings of those words coming into fruition. Humans still have a long way to go, but the first steps are being made.
