I asked during the quarter final rounds whether it would be deja vu if Argentina were to defeat Belgium and then progress to the final with Germany, similar to 1986. Many said I was a few cents short of a dollar. But as it was written, so it was done. I deliberately ignored the 1990 finals clash between both teams as the Germans clipped the Argentines 1-0. For those who believe that the Germans will walk over the Argentines, I can only say one thing: be reminded of Brazil vs France in 1998. The Germans are known for their brutal efficiency and clinical finishes, but David is also known for killing Goliath.
