I dont really know why the result of the latest AGM meeting took 3 days....... Allegedly the thoughts of the supporters were a high priority in these talks..........AND?????? I want to watch speedway and always regarded myself a hardcore supporter but speedway has broken me and i have been living a lie. Speedway i am sorry. I now no longer want to live this lie. I very rarely go to league meetings and the only hardcore thing i do with speedway is Cardiff every year. Here are the reasons, The Elite league is a false name and miss leading in its very nature. The name then adds value to gate prices and the cost of the riders wages to which we end up paying for. Evenings entertainment is limited to 15 heats (if we are lucky) then lights out off you go...... What ever happened to sidecars, quad bikes, junior teams or a little league maybe even flat trackers or display teams....... to be honests the list is endless. From my brief scan of this years AGM i actually think that like any other year the paying supporter has been an after thought. Is this going to make me return to the terrace on a regular basis........ NO. I work for my money and would love to spend it in a atmospheric, vibrant and entertaining place like speedway used to be and until wholesale changes to the sport come in and reignite the world of speedway i will keep my admision fee in my pocket. I alone will not bring down the demise of speedway, the people who control the sport will by keeping people like me away.
