I doubt that it will look like this, but it is coming and it is real, I believe it will happen as the bible says, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, so fast that it can not be observed, or as Jesus says, without observation. But the dead rise first ( those who died in Christ ) then those who have been born again by the word of God are taken up and we meet with Christ in the air. Then soon after the Great tribulation starts, where God pours out His wrath on those who rejected Him and persecuted His body and bride, the church. Remember this as these things unfold, there is a time before the tribulation called, the beginning of sorrows, we may be in this period of time. At that time we see, in the book of Revelation, that the angel says, WOE, WOE, WOE, for the things coming on the earth. When the tribulation first starts Christians and Jews may suffer as there are today in Iraq , Syria, Nigeria and North Korea , but when the part called the Great Tribulation starts, the true Christians that have been born again by the word of God and have confessed their faith in Jesus Christ before this sinful world, they will be remove from the earth, as they are a part of Christs body. It is unfolding before are very eyes, yet most Americans do not notice, only those who thoughts turn to what the Lord is doing seem to notice, and they are few in number. Christ asked the question, will He find faith when He returns, and He said many are called, but few are chosen. He choose`s those who have faith in Him and are looking for His return. The prayer He taught the disciples to pray goes like this Our Father, who art in heaven, THY KINGDOM COME.............................thy will be done on earth......................
