I feel the need to address this issue I encounter on a WEEKEND bases that Im sure most of my peers deal with as well and it just needs to be said by moi... My followers, fans, listeners, supporters or whatever you want to call them are def what and who have made my career as a DJ a fun and enjoyable one, in other words as AMAZING as it is. I love each and all of you that care and support what I do. HOWEVER!!! Just because you listen to my stuff please do not feel you are entitled to much more like for example BE ON THE GUEST LIST, than a genuine thank you from me and a smile/kiss/hug when I see you out. I am saying this because I was just rudely contacted by someone who I def blocked and deleted after reading the message, calling me a CUNT for not putting him on the list after he asked on my previous event in NYC. You see, as a DJ I try my best to reply to every comment/message I get from friends and those that are just followers of my music/sets. When I play an event, MY FRIENDS meaning THOSE THAT KEEP IN TOUCH ON A REGULAR BASIS, THAT ASK HOW IM DOING, THAT HAVE LUNCH/DINNERS WITH ME, THAT ACTUALLY HANG OUT WITH ME OUTSIDE THE BAR/CLUB, those people AND Industry aka my DJ colleagues get priority over any list I am entitled to at an event. I myself ask my friends to put me on a list if they can, but if they cant you dont see me insulting them, so if you are going to ask, at least have some manners and ask how Im doing, that wouldnt kill but sure as hell at least will get my attention & Ill be willing to read the message and at least try my best to help and not just roll my eyes immediately and of course delete you right after reading the message. ALSO PLEASE KNOW that we get paid too, promoters work hard to create an event and hire nothing but the best to bring you that, THE BEST. So if I cant put you on a guest list for whatever reason, please do not think I am being a CUNT like I was just called. IM TRYING TO SURVIVE by working just as hard as Im sure most of you all do.
