I had a good discussion with one of my friend who follows one of the anchor and admittedly influenced by him. He kept repeating the same Mantra Jamhoriat should be supported at any cost , Jamhoriat is the best revenge blah blah. I asked him, so what would you expect from Jamhoriat? what impact you would see on an average persons life? And, he kept referring to Europe, USA, and other countries where democracy has delivered on promise. So he agreed that it is not the name that should be protected but the outcome of Jamhoriat. I gave him an example, sometimes parents name their kids Islam Uddin, Haseen Iqbal, Pakeeza khatoon, etc but when you follow their lives you would know how badly they represent their names. Jamhoriat is akin to those where the child is named Jamhoriat but the attributes of Jamhoriat are no where to be found. Jamhoriat is not the name but a system which has not been developed in Pakistan yet.
