I have a question I dont have an answer to hoping someone knows : My daughter Hannah Patterson works at Sonic , she was scheduled 2 pm to 10 pm , at 9:30 she started her count down and end of shift duties , was told by shift manager to clock off at 9:58 , she stayed another 45 min to help with a rush OFF the clock , all the while her ride had been sitting in the parking lot waiting for over an hour . Today she worked her shift from 10:15 am - 5:30 , at the end of her shift she receives a write up for leaving the night before in the middle of a rush . Heres my question ... she was told that sonic has the right to let her off 2 hrs prior to end shift and they have the right to keep her as much as 2 hrs after her shift .... is that legal ????... and if so , whats the point of a schedule??? , especially if your dependent apon others for transportation who also have schedules to maintain ??
