I have been challenged by my friend Kevin McNicholas to present 5 tracks over 5 days,tracks which formulated my own music loves and music taste !!! As i understand it,these are not necessarily my 5 favourite tracks ( which change every day,anyway) or the best recorded or wonderfully obscure !......so my first offering came about and i can remember it like yesterday,as follows.My mum bought a fab Dynatron radiogram,you know the type,a sideboard with a deck...so i was allowed to listen to Alan Freeman mincing his way through the Top 20 while we were all having Sunday tea,amazing in itself,because Grandad Adams hatedtwang & bang...eventually on came Hey Joe,to a chorus ofyou can turn that rubbish off.. but i was mesmerised...this was the very first time id heard the track...and i was so desperate to hear it i stood over the controls,arguing & listening at the same time...needless to say i was in Sharples the next day to buy the record.....it was just so different to anything else at the time....so the story is ethed in the brain !!!
