I have never felt the need to vent on Facebook but today I do. Farming is something I love to do. when it gets in your blood you just cant give up no matter what comes your way. Farmers have a lot going for us but then we do have a lot of things against us too-bad weather, bad seed, insects, weeds, low prices, not enough labor around, rabbits, and moose just to name a few. Then there are the two legged problems we have. When you put up a gate and a sign that says NO TRESPASSING electric fence in use you would think that would keep people from going onto your property. That is not the case. For some reason people seem to think that because it is a farm they have the right to go onto our property whenever they want. Like it is their own personal hunting ground or their own trail to the salmon river. When the gate first went up bikes would go around it. when I blocked that route they now go across the bogs past the electric fence and still go across our property. A couple of weeks ago a couple of us were up on the farm working when we heard a bike come very close to the field we were working on. Ten minutes later we heard rifle shots. The next day while we were on the carrot garden there were shots around us. We could actually hear the people talking. Do people actually have so little respect for me or the people that work for me that they would hunt without permission? The answer is yes. These people have respect for nothing or no one. Twice this year I have had lies told about me. I really dont know why. Jealous I guess. I leave people alone and just expect the same. It seems the more you help someone, the more they expect. Even newcomers in town seem to want to know if my gate is locked. If you would like a tour of the farm, just ask. I will oblige. In case you didnt know, what you put on Facebook is public and can be saved. And then there are the two morons who were in my greenhouse on Saturday night during the blackout. The reason for my rant. Did you not think that someone would not notice two flashlights shining around in there. Unfortunately my sister thought it was me checking for wind damage or your ass would have been caught. There is nothing in there to steal unless you want some dead tomato plants or some used plastic trays. My guess from the way my sister described how the lights were shining around is that you want to know how to build a greenhouse. You just dont have the balls to come to my face and ask. You have to sneak around in the middle of the night like the gutless people you are. Well game on folks. I may have to write to Santa for a couple of Trail Cams this year. Make sure you smile when you come on our property. You might find yourself on candid camera. I have a couple of new numbers on speed dial now. I wonder what they are. I am sure all concerned will see this. Facebook is a wonderful way to get things out and there are lots that seem to want to know your business.
