I have to wonder about some things. I check Facebook this morning and the top ten statuses are all about some random actor that died in Hollywood. Too bad he died, sad that he left behind a daughter but what about the deaths of the children in foster care in our own province? The struggles and tragedy of our soldiers dealing with post traumatic stress and taking their own lives because of the horrors they have endured? What about the multitudes of homeless who live on our own streets? What about the thousands slowing dying of drug abuse and addictions? No one can use the excuse that this was a good piece of news so I have to wonder when we became so disconnected from our own people that we choose to ignore them and publicly mourn a complete and total stranger?
