I have written a column called Socialising with a cochlear implant which begins by describing a noisy restaurant (see below). Ive been told to soften the final sentence about the witches. Whyyyyy?! Picture the scene: it’s Friday night and you’re sitting in a restaurant with a group of friends or family. In the background, there is a cacophony of chatter, music and clinking cutlery. The table next to yours is host to a hen party; the coven of witches in attendance is cackling away, shrieking at the waiters to bring more wine for the cauldron. Whats wrong with that?!?!?!
