I have written a piece which I hope does not offend but provoke thoughts. This is it; please read more.... The Broader Responsibility for Knowledge –Build don’t stifle Activism should be careful not to concentrate on making everybody poor but on making everybody actively engaged in the development process. The reason why the communist nations are all now educating the people about business speaks for itself. Businesses should have managers who can make them competitive on a world class. Pay and pension should be at a standard to allow good living standard even after retirement. If we are all at the same level of economic development; there would be no one to teach the others. Some people need to study economics and some needs to study manufacturing and engineering, etc. There is no need for a person to play Jack of all trade; that is to make them average at all things and good at none. We all should act with intelligence and respect for our limitations and not oppose those who know significantly more in any skills or profession. When someone says they are anti businesses should we take it to say that they are ignorant about the benefits of businesses to the population? In fact businesses pays wages and pension too for many people to improve their living standards but if the owner of the business is your enemy; (s) he may not give you a job. The social responsibility of businesses should never be ignored such as health & safety and a living wage but business education is vital to achieve any of this. I guess someone wants me to leave my name off this piece but no it is my hard labour and I have the right of copy but I shall allow others to read it but not claim to be the author. In any society education plays an important part to deliver social justice. There is the issue of basic education, which everyone needs to have as a minimum. Then, there is medium/professional education that needs to provide middle level managers and engineers/technicians for business and commerce to develop economy. Then at the higher level of education, we have the experts in their fields; who can be stewards for leadership of industrial and education institutions including government. Therefore education is essential to all areas national development to equip every member of society to perform the duties and responsibility properly. There is always a hierarchy in any development process but only those who study it can really understand it enough to guide or manage it correctly. This relates to every area of study and development and respect is due to those who takes the time to study and advance their knowledge and skills to a level that most others are not prepared to make the sacrifice to achieve it.
