I just bought a bigger Bergman loom, so these two will need to - TopicsExpress

I just bought a bigger Bergman loom, so these two will need to find new homes... I have two lovely Bergman floor looms looking for their new forever homes now that I’ve found a wider one to work with. These are 30” weaving width (according to their model numbers, but I usually dont go over 25) 4-harness, 6-shaft countermarche looms with wonderful sheds. These looms were made in Poulsbo, Washington. Both fold into a fairly compact size that fits in my Ford Escape with the seats folded down (sub-SUV). One is a newer model, light colored maple and the other is an older model, darker color Doug pine with mortise & tenon joints. The older one has some sheared off dowels, but they don’t affect the function of weaving. Each comes with a boat shuttle and a reed. They have their original string heddles and string/wire tie-ups, all in good condition. Each will come with copies of the Bergman loom notes and original price list. The tie-up on the newer Bergman (Blondie) is a universal twill tie-up. Woodie isnt currently tied up, but Id be happy to get him set up, and show you how to change either to the tie up you want. Blondie is $400. Woodie is $300, since he is slightly imperfect. I also have an 8-harness, 8-lever 12” weaving width Mountain table loom in the newer style (slanted top for cleaner sheds) for sale as I have several of these lovely looms, more than I can keep busy. This was also made right here in Washington. It will come with a reed, its manufacturer’s notes, and original lease sticks. This is not the folding model, but the castle can be removed to flatten it for shipping. Asking $300. Prefer not to ship, as that runs about $120-240 or more, depending on distance and method. The looms are in my studio here in Port Ludlow, WA. I am happy to answer any questions or arrange for you to come and see any of the looms. See the comments for notes on my planned road trips, I am happy to bring looms with me as space permits (the floor looms do eat up most of the space in my car, so they cant always go with me).
