I just got back from watching The Wolverine- and it was really good! Without giving away any spoilers, it really delved into the emotions of Logan, and the tragic aftereffects of his killing of Jean Grey in X-Men 3. And yes, she was in the movie (sort of- no spoilers!) The acting in the movie was really good, the story was good, if a bit long (necesarily so, it needed the time to really get the full effect) and the action sequences were on par with the other X-Men movies, even better than some, without resorting to having an unnecesary action scene every five minutes. Basically, on the strength of the movie alone, I give it 3 and a half out of 5 stars, and would recomend it. However, what really marks this movie as distinctive from the rest is the end credits scene. Before the movie began, I knew about the credits scene being a lead-in to Days of Future Past, and actively avoided spoilers as to what that lead-in would entail. Still, I teased (half seriously) to Cyel that I was almost looking forward to the credit scene than the movie itself. And boy did it ever live up to and even exceed the hype! Again, without giving spoilers, let me just say this: The end credits scene is a literal show-stealer- after seeing it, you pretty much forget about the movie you just saw in the excitement for the next movie. That being said... WARNING! A MINOR SPOILER FOR THE END CREDIT FOLLOWS! ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Sir Patrick Stewart and Ian Mackellen are both in it as Proffessor Xavier and Magneto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
