I just read that Obama is sending in hundreds of soldiers from the National Guard to assist with the burning and looting in Ferguson. He stated that many low-income families in Ferguson lacked the opportunities to riot effectively, citing gasoline costs as a financial obstacle to burning police cars and businesses. Obama also noted that single mothers did not have access to childcare which prevented them from joining in the looting. By Executive Order, National Guard troops will be asked to destroy homes and property, rob local shops and further assist the community, by pelting each other with rocks and bottles. The president also said that he envisioned this as the beginning of an era in which black Americans will one day be able to remain in the comfort of their homes and have all crimes committed by the government. Some in the GOP have voiced dissent, suggesting that rioting and looting could best be accomplished by private contractors, stating that Obamas Amnesty plan has provided thousands of Hispanics an incredible opportunity and that they could be employed to effectively impersonate African-American looters.
