I just read the rules of the group over a few times to make sure I understood what they say. The rules state what is not allowed. Some of the terms may be open to interpretations. For example, what constitutes foul language? What is considered threatening? Etc. However, at the end of the list there is this...Admins make the decisions on what is conversation and what is breaking the rules. If you feel that you or someone else may have been removed or blocked unfairly make sure to contact an admin. Complaining about it in open forum will get no response from admins and if the only goal is to start drama then you will be removed. If you have been threatened by another member then call the police. If your intent is to agitate the group then please leave as it wont be long before you are removed They very clearly state that it is the job of the admins to decide if the rules have been broken. I think that is fair because this is their group. Pointing out the obvious here, but without them creating this group, we wouldnt have it at all. So we should trust that they will make a fair judgment in whether or not the rules are being followed. Even though, as you can see, fairness from the admins is not promised in the rules. I think it is nice that they do their best to be fair, even though they never said they would be. Its kind of like going into someones home. Everyone has a different idea of curse words etc. Respect the rules of the group as you would the rules of someones home. It also states that if you feel you are unfairly judged in violation of the rules, you are free to contact the admins. I would like to humbly suggest a slight change to Rule #8 to the admins if I may. Not taking anything away, just possibly adding in place of residence to the things not to be discriminated against. I have seen different members on different posts, who have been called out for either not living here, or having moved away from Coalinga, as if their opinions dont matter to our town unless they reside within city limits. It is just a suggestion that I hope will be taken into consideration. I do apologize for posting this suggestion here. I would have sent a message to the admins, but it seems my messenger isnt working properly at this time.
