I just saw a lady who overshot her driveway and her left front tire was stuck in the ditch. I stopped to help her she was out of her car and totally coherent. She lives in the house we were in front of She was not drinking I checked that She was not sick I asked her about that She felt fine so I tried to drive her car out of the ditch but had no traction. I positioned my truck to pull her out. A man stops in front of me and walks up and asked me what Im doing. I told him I was pulling this car out of the ditch for this lady. He said Im a cop hold up a minute. The lady had sat back down in her car. He walks over to her and asked her the same questions I had asked her. He then turned to me and told me I better wait until the deputies got there because we didnt know what happened there. 30 minutes, three deputies, a fire truck and a wrecker service later she is out of the ditch. I already had my chain hooked up. She would have been out of the ditch in two minutes. Thank God for the government saving us all. Notice the mentality. Sorry if that pisses some of you off. Because the actions and waste I just witnessed pisses me off as well.
