I just saw it again. Somebody posted a panic-producing post that originated in WND(the site that thinks Michelle Obama is a man and Barack a space alien) that screams that ebola is airborne. PLEASE people, stop spreading this kind of crap. I swear to God, Ebola is NOT AIRBORNE. Somebody got a doc to say that yes, viruses do mutate as they multiply, and yes, in the universe of possibilities, there is a possibility it could become airborne. But Im more likely to have Hugh Jackmans baby(and if youve ever met his wife, even if I had a uterus, Id never get close enough to work on it). And you dont have to take my word for it. Listen to epidemiologists and infectious disease and exotic disease specialists and geneticists from around the world. Theyll be happy to tell you. There is no conspiracy. Now, one more time. EBOLA IS NOT AIRBORNE. The reason it spread so fast in Africa is because they have crap infrastructure, no supplies or staff, the population has been scared away from western medicine(much like the people reading that WND piece) and their families all gather together to care for the victim. And yeah. If somebody keeps vomiting on you, and you arent protected, chances are high youll get it. Wash your hands. Stay away from people whove been to LIberia. Wash your hands some more. And get a flu shot, because while not one person has died from ebola in this country, we average over 23,000 deaths from flu EVERY YEAR. Okay. Rant over. You may return to your regular programming.
