I just spent thousands of dollars for my husband and I to book our flight for our honeymoon. As I call to make my seat arrangements, after being transferred to a supervisor, he tells me I can not pick our seats unless I spend more money to upgrade, or I wait to find out my seats when I check in at the airport...hoping we are not in the last row and more importantly seated next to each other. Never in my years of traveling have I EVER paid money for a flight and NOT been able to pick my seat. I own a business and to me the customer is always right, if not my business is unsuccessful. United Airlines apparently does NOT put there customer first. They make it harder for the customer to enjoy there flying experience. This is the poorest form of customer service I have ever received from an airline! This is the most absurd "rule" and I am not understanding how this works for families. NEVER will I fly United Airlines - Outperform again...and I hope no one I know will ever support there ridiculous regulations. You have been the one sour apple during my honeymoon and I can not regret enough spending a penny on this horrible airline service!
