I know some folks are still a bit confused as to what services are still available at ICMH. I spent some time there today......radiology and lab. I arrived at ~9:45 this morning and the OP registration waiting room was standing room only. I did feel sorry for the ONLY registrar there as there used to be 2 and needs to be 2! Radiology is still doing xrays, mammograms, nuclear studies and CT scans and lab is still drawing and processing. While I am still upset over inpatient and critical care beds being eliminated as well as surgery and ASU, I am delighted that we at least have these services and they are provided by the same familiar, wonderful, caring and dedicated employees we have all come to know and depend on. So, please, if your physician recommends any of the above services, go to Newfane. We need to keep these services. With that being said, i feel much more confident in the ER (still same wonderful staff) knowing the above diagnostic services can still be done on site. I for one am very grateful we at least still have this much.
