I know we all love the Lake District... but what do you all think of some of its visitors? Are some visitors not good enough, and should go to Blackpool instead? The Lake District National Park Authority is pushing for World Heritage Status which they claim would bring tourists from around the world, who view WHS as reason enough to visit - while opponents say it would lead to stricter planning controls. The LDNPA buzz words are World Class Visitor Attraction but wouldnt that require anyone other than world class visitors to be discouraged? Or is that a good thing? Over to you to debate this thorny issue - Im away today, but Ill be back tonight to award marks out of ten for the best posts!! :)
