I live on the edge of Puget Sound, and its hot, thats whats on my mind. Since even when its hot, its not hot for long, so air-conditioning isnt common, is not a necessity, such as windshield wipers. So, Im old, sleepy, cranky, and the downstairs neighbors are playing house, sharing their youthful exuberance. Youthful is an unnecessary word, since most of us lose it as we age, along with our desire to raise our voices, and even our exuberance. Before I leave you, Id like to share something useful, language, which seems to have died on the vine. Communication, even writing in longhand, appears to have been lost, and no one has taken responsibility, either at state or federal level. Colleges are teaching us what we should have learned in public school. My gift, take it or leave it. But, if you take it, you will be a better communicator. Filler words. We dont need them, so stop using them, you are only annoying others, bringing nothing to the gunfight but noise. Basically. What a stupid way to start a sentence! Fundamentally. Same thing. If youre in it for the long haul, you dont need a backpack full of burdens. Call them what they are, redundant, and never again use them. I wish you well.
