I love our Government. I received this letter in the mail yesterday (3/24) from the IRS. I filed my tax return the week of March 3rd and requested Direct Deposit. Im receiving a fairly large refund due to the Federal Tax Credit for Solar Panel installations so the idea of getting a check instead of direct deposit is understandable as is the extra processing time. What is NOT understandable is WHY the letter is DATED April 7, 2014 when I RECEIVED it on March 24th. So instead of 3-4 weeks, they have given themselves 5-6 weeks to send my check. SERIOUSLY?!? Theyve had my money all year and if I owed, theyd be charging me interest PER DAY if I needed extra time to pay. Instead, they get to keep my money even longer for FREE. What a bunch of you know whats.
