I met a lovely woman at the Vet yesterday; she had stopped to pick up 2 big dogs who were running in the road. . . an elderly cream Labrador with a nasty eye infection (!) & a beautiful cream German Shepherd cross. What particularly endeared her to me was her comment that she had to rush off because she "had left her children on the side of the road" in order to fit the 2 big dogs into her little car! I just hope the human kids were still waiting for her & had not dashed off on their own - or that she had micro-chipped them :)
