I must admit that back in the 60s when The Monkees were on top I, like many others, discounted the talents of Peter Tork. To be fair, he wasnt presented to us with much seriousness. He was the Ringo of the group. He vocal parts were limited and I dont know if he just hadnt come into his own yet or if his vocals were intentionally not up to the level of the Mickey and Mike and Davy. Well, just watch this recent live performance of him live. Just him and his guitar playing a song that was a huge hit and originally sung by Mickey. His voice is 100 times better than anything he sang on record with The Monkees and he more than proves his chops on the guitar. And you just gotta love his unique sense of humor. youtu.be/wz9mPiHkFtc
