I must say that I have some good friends. Sometimes I just sit and think about the blessing that I have, and in this time of thinking yesterday I thought about the friends that I have. Im blessed to have good friends. However, no matter how well they are as friends, Jesus surpasses them. For Jesus is that friend who sticks closer than a brother. We all have good friends, but Jesus is the friend we can take EVERYTHING to. Even our best friends on earth will get tired and tell us to get it together when we bring SOME things to them. But the hymn says, Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry, EVERYTHING to God in prayer. Do you know a friend besides Jesus that wants to hear EVERYTHING besides gossip? Do you have a friend besides Jesus that wants to hear beyond your happiness, but also all your pain? Ill answer that for you. Theres not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one. No, not one.
