I often mention in the Salmon as a Metaphor for Life self-empowerment workshop held every January in the lead up to the big salmon bake event...for every salmon that jumps into a bears mouth, there are hundreds that get through and continue their lifes sole purpose, defying all logic, reason and and odds...until the next bear or fisherman tries to catch it. Remember; the wild caught salmon you eat, is nothing short of a miracle. Celebrate and give thanks to the Salmon for, like the bear, you are feeding on the dashed hopes and futility of one of natures most determined species.
