I read somewhere that (some) brides are turned off when a designer outrightly asks for the budget. They dont like the pera-pera nalang attitude. I ask because I want to help the bride and facilitate a more efficient transaction. I see it as a big expense of time and energy to get excited and build a concept with the bride while temporarily shoving the budget to the side only to not arrive at a compromise with the budget at hand. It is realistically speaking pera-pera. We are here to earn as well not just make beautiful clothes. Also, I dont like doing a one dimensional quote on pegs and just leave it there because quotes are not set in stone. Knowing the budget will help me suggest options that will work best for her budget like how we can scale down the design or redesign the elements of her dress to give her very realistic expectations prior to actual consultation. Im not the type that will get you all excited and flower you with this and that promises and transport you to a dream world only to end up falling short on delivery because I gave you a deal thats too good to be true. What I am though is giving you the best possible outcome given the parameters and making you feel your best and most beautiful during the actual wedding date.
