I really appreciate the people in my life. Thank you for every call, text, card, etc. that you all have sent since Taylor and I have been on the home bound list. Lol. Thank you for being so very understanding as it relates to Taylors health and minimal visits. Yall ROCK!!! I am learning so much on my new journey of motherhood....... Confessions of a new mother: Mothers (especially first time mothers) are sometimes ridiculed for their decisions concerning maintaining the health of their newborns. Its difficult for some to understand why mom wants you to wash your hands thoroughly before handling baby (if they allow you to hold them at all), make sure Lysol is on deck at all times, why sneezes/coughs are not allowed in the house, why she constantly reminds visitors DONT touch babys hands because they put them in their mouth, etc. There are some who wont even reveal they (themselves) are sick/just getting over sickness; they just want to see the baby (I still dont understand that one). For new moms, we desire to protect our little ones from germs, especially during the period before they receive their shots. Many say this is unnecessary and accuse mom of taking it too seriously. But in actuality, moms God-given instincts to protect are in full swing. Confession: Please dont take it personal when mom decides to limit outside visitors to protect her little one during this delicate stage in life. Its nothing personal. Its just called keeping my baby healthy. Signed, Taylors mom
