I received a letter in the mail today from Science Care. The letter thanking me for going along with my mothers wishes to donate her body to Science. Then they proceeded to tell me how many different ways my mother helped them learn new and important medical procedures... As I read the five (5) ways she helped...Breast cancer procedures, Blockage of the arteries, Study of ear, nose, and throat conditions, Surgical training for foot and ankle disorders, and Specializing in treatment of hand and arm fractures.... .. It made me cry first because my mother is gone and I will always miss her, but mostly that I am so proud that she was so brave and totally determined that this is what she wished to do. Seeing the good that she did has convinced me that I should follow in her footsteps and her footsteps will be hard to fill.....love you always..... Irene Flaherty
