I received my patriarchal blessing the other night after church.....and I am just amazed. I went in there sort of doubtful. Im ashamed, but there are a few things I have been struggling with and that is thebelief in revelation through the priesthood holders including the prophet. It was almost funny how it started off pretty general and then something super personal gets said and my eyes flew open and I kind of wanted to look around at the patriarch to make sure it wasnt God or Jesus standing behind me. I wanted to just cry and cry. I knew then that my Savior and Our Father knows me. He knows what I go through, the struggles I deal with and try to overcome and even when I give in when I should have been working harder. He even knows me and my fiancé and what we go through as a couple. Everything from that point on just amazed me. All my doubts disappeared. I know now more than ever that this is the one true Church. This Church was restored on Earth through Joseph Smith, and that our God and our Redeemer lives. Now I am excited to get the typed version :D :D I love how at the end of everything I learn, everything I hear including my blessing, it all says this is all dependent on your faith, and living the commandments and staying true to the Gospel The small things I have been too easy on myself with, I now strive to correct. I know its only been a day, but I feel that getting my blessing made it easier for me to see exactly how I am suppose to behave, and live as a Latter Day Saint, so that others may see Christs love through me.
