I recently had a chance to visit the 9/11 memorial in front of Calamityville. I had heard some negative things about the memorial so honestly my expectations were not that high. However, I was blown away by the memorial! The beam itself has a great look to it and the engraved marker is simple, but elegant. Also, the names of all the (presumed) sponsors are engraved in the pavers as approach the memorial allowing these people to be recognized while not taking away from the memorial. If you have not had a chance to see this memorial up close take a few minutes and check it out!
