I remember the Uttrakhand landslides last year. Massive devastation. It was one of the worst natural disaster of the century. At some places the help reached in time. In some places the army could reach after weeks. But never did I hear people pelting stones at the army or threatening to attack relief carrying helicopters because help didnt come in time. People in Srinagar, their liberation agenda aside, need to get off their entitled arses and need a serious readjustment of attitude. From what I hear army is doing all it can. Yes, its part of the armys job to help the locals. And yes, the locals dont enjoy the best of relationship with the army. But being a bit grateful or at least not outright antagonistic goes a long way. And I hope this attitude is isolated to Srinagar.
