I shed tears reading this for many reasons: I lived in New Orleans for 30 yrs and the city, the people, the culture-EVERYTHING about this city becomes a part of you and never lets go. The people are the BEST and are a family-sometimes a little crazy but oh so special in their craziness! I moved to Florida in June of 05 and was blessed to have all I wanted from my house in the East. I have a son and family there and they did leave for north MS the day before. For two wks I sat in front of my TV and cried watching the people fighting for their lives. So many lost! I bought Chris book One Dead in Attic several years later and cried again because he knew from being there the pain yet the resilience of New Orleanians. Thank You, Chris! Theres so much more but I am blessed!
