I started Guide Book Publications on this day 18 years ago in a spare room at home. For sure this has been a journey and I have so much to be grateful for. Once again I thank and salute those who made me realise I was not cut out for corporate life. I was pushed, I never jumped and I am forever thankful to all my previous bosses. I never had the courage to do it on my own, but you made me. To all those who have supported me, sponsors, advertisers and readers I give thanks. Now I start work on the 25th edition of the Runners’ Guide (can you believe it.) as well as the eighth edition of the Cyclists Guide. The Swimmers Guide is in its eleventh year. To all those who are considering going out on their own – just jump, it’s not scary, it’s terrifying. To those out there on their own – strongs for 2015, may you all prosper this year.
