I think we all struggle with this at some point - at what point should we leave well enough alone? When is an image finished? What makes this image more perfect than that image? Do I need to become more of a digital artist than a photographer to make people linger? Do I need to push myself and get better at seeing, capturing, and conveying the truth of what is right in front of me? A bit of both, perhaps... Ive come to this conclusion: You dont always have to have the perfect lens, the perfect camera, the perfect light, the perfect model, the perfect inspiration, etc to make a great photograph. In my humble opinion, as someone who is obsessed with image quality, it matters far more what you capture - the emotion, soul, and artistry within a subject itself - than how you capture it. Sometimes the pursuit of perfection results in the realization that perfection is actually pretty dull. All Im saying is dont be afraid to put out technically flawed results, dont be afraid to say This person/place/moment is beautiful instead of I can see a,b,c....x,y,z wrong with it, lets change it all!!! The real question we should ask ourselves is What the hell is perfect, anyway?
