I thought this was supposed to stop in highschool… I write one shellscript program that gets 4 different software to communicate with each other in the background as the user works, saving us hundreds of hours of work each month. Suddenly a week later a corporate compliance officer comes to visit to “check out the facility” leaves everyone else alone while I get pulled into multiple meetings and get questioned about my motives, what my programs do, and get tested/asked about policy questions. Meanwhile the “cool kids” who spend 3-4 hours a day in each others cubicles and offices BS’ing and who take 2 hour lunches while spitting out crap work go unquestioned and undisciplined. What the FRAK!?!?
