I understand that these police killing innocent people is close to home, and all the violence in Lansing even closer to home for some of us, but what about this ISIS situation? Im constantly refreshing the news pages to see the latest updates. How about the beheading of James Foley? Why am I not seeing that nearly as much as Ive seen posts about the shooting of Michael Brown? Is one life more valuable than the other for some reason that I am not aware of? How about the direct threats ISIS has made on the US and how close we are to war in our homeland? This is concerning to me. I am not saying that I believe any act of violence deserves more concern than the other, BUT WE ARE SO CLOSE TO BEING ATTACKED ON OUR LAND BY AN EXTREMELY POWERFUL, WEALTHY, RELENTLESS TERROR GROUP!! How are you guys not freaking out about that? Im imagining walking out of my living quarters one day into a war zone, and the thought is terrifying! Maybe this article will spark a little interest in those of you who havent paid one lick of attention to this situation. I am not trying to be rude, or in any way, shape, or form, say that the other things going on already within our country are not important, but I think everyone should be more aware of the threat that ISIS has posed on the US. Maybe Im overreacting. Maybe I think way too much. Thoughts?
