I used to see this thing in the shop, back in the day. Hap Perry was building wet subs in the west end storage shed at Perry, and this car is one of those with a different shell. Four 24 volt thrusters, a compensated battery box, and ballast tanks. The film people called it Wet Nellie. We called it the Crash and Burn, because it absolutely would NOT go in a straight line. The shape of the car pushes down, and in the water it pushes down six hundred times harder. Quite a challenge to operate, I heard.
