I used to think time moved the slowest at the DMV while you were waiting to renew your Drivers License. NOT TRUE...the slowest time on earth is sitting in a critical care heart surgery ward waiting room while someone you love is under the knife! Tic Tic Tic... My Dad has some very skilled and respected Surgeons and a brilliant team around him today. And 11 of the Sackett/Reffett Clan has taken over the 3rd floor surgical waiting area. My Sister knows a number of people who are caring for my Dad as she used to work with them at her hospital over the years. I am also very proud of my Sister Mary Reffett for all she knows and for how she has helped guide this all so quickly due to her relationships! Talk about NETWORKING! Honestly trying to hold it together for my family but inside I am a train wreck. Trying to keep busy, write, post and keep my mind in motion. The surgery is expected to be 4-6 hours. They started at 8:30 about an hour ago and just gave us a report that they have found good veins in his leg to use for his heart. Its nice that Mary knows so many folks on the surgery team.
