I want the sky to go dark grey and rain heavy for weeks on end. I want the sound of a happy summer ending to lull me to the most comfortable sleep, and the sound of winter taking hold to call me back. I want to fade like the colour of the dying leaves until there is nothing but the fundamental structure left. I want to shed tears like snow, each one unique and each one falling in a different pattern. I want the freezing white wind to clash against the black layering of my clothes and reform the melted core inside for the impending frost to encase it back in its place. I want to shut the windows and shiver under blankets. I never want that winter to leave, but the promise of a seasons permanence is too unreal to believe. It is lonely and hard to breathe. I want the sky to turn dark grey.
