I want to give a bit of encouragement to women today! (This is long but PLEASE read!) Ive always been like my sister Karen Runyan Rodgers. If we want something done, we do it! The past few weeks have been CRAZY! Fridge broke and had been leaking water for lord knows how long. The tiles had to be pulled up and preserved bc no $ in the budget for new floors! Before he left that morning Harold said, Ill do it when I get home from work. Yeah, I wasnt going to let that happen. Not only has he been working 40 hrs a week at his regular job, he has been doing side jobs painting and pressure washing AND umpiring little league games. There was NO way I was going to add this to his list. Not only did I take up the floor in one day, I decided to redo the cabinets so I sanded, painted, glazed, and replaced hardware in 3 days. I also located two leaks under the sink (and repaired). Then two days ago I go to switch the clothes over and the basement has standing water under the washer! REALLY?!?! Long story short: I fixed the problem! (Ill post a video!). My point to this really long status is: Ladies, we are not idiots! And being strong and capable doesnt make us feminists as defined by the liberal world. Its who God has created us to be! The belief of wives submit to your husbands, being a helpmate, and the man being head of his household is criticized all the time! But what the secular world refuses to see is that honoring our husbands does NOT make us less of a woman! Christian wives are not doormats! We are the heart of our homes! The thought of being the heart may cause visions of fluffy sweetness and baked cookies but let us not forget that the heart is the most important organ; pumping LIFE throughout the body.! Taking burdens OFF of your spouse and hauling them on your own shoulders is anything but weak! Stand with me Christian women as I introduce myself to the liberal-feminists of the world: A woman of God, humbled by the love of a Savior, the sacrifices of a husband, and the miracle of children. I CAN do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me!
