I want to read this book so bad, and when I finally get to order it (which may be many months from now...like January) if it is as good as I think it will be I want to give copies to every person who longs for the good old days. The good old days? You mean like when child labor was common, women had to have permission from their husbands or fathers to get a credit card, when the same atrocities that go on today just werent broadcasted because TV was still new & the internet didnt exist, when children were molested or women (or men) were raped but no one recognized the signs (they just DIDNT back in the 80s and even 90s), when Jews, gays, and the Polish were being killed by the millions in gas chambers, when Napalm was dropped on children in Vietnam, when African Americans had separate drinking fountains and were being strung up across the South, when the Ku Klux Klan had a lot of political power, when a woman had to have her husbands approval to use the Pill, when women were discouraged from having any kind of life outside the home or developing hobbies, when child abuse and domestic violence were rarely prosecuted (it was no big deal!), I could go on, and on, and on!!
