I was actually a little bitter about part of my latest bungle but my wife Cathy convinced me that I would feel better after I slept on it...and I suppose I do. So last night my wife, myself and our dachshund son are on the way back from running errands - including the prescription I forgot to pick the day before (see my previous bungled post) - when we decided to stop at a sandwich shop to pick up some dinner. I sat in the passenger seat with both the dog and my meal in my lap. You can probably guess what happened next. Yes, the fries went spilling all over the floor. I was rather peeved as I could have almost predicted the situation coming because of I was hungry. I put the dog in the back, hoping our groceries wouldnt be inspected, and recovered most of the fries. (The Five Second Rule was in effect.) Speaking of groceries: as I was loading up items in the checkout line, I realized that I had picked up two boxes of strawberry Nilla Wafers instead of the plain ones. Fortunately, there was no one behind me and the cookie aisle was right there so I dashed back to replace them. Strangely enough, the only plain Nilla Wafers in sight were the mini size. So I grabbed two and got back in line...except that when I got home I saw that I *still* managed to pick one strawberry Nilla Wafers box. Cathy volunteered to eat them and said she would pick up a plain box for me the next time she passed a supermarket. Can I make it a three-peat of bungling today? Only time will tell...
