I was supposed to be interviewed on a radio show in Canada over the weekend. Its a big show with big name guests (Rob Bell was following me). The time was set, I sat by the phone ready, but when the time rolled round there was no phone call. I streamed the show online and heard the host joke that he couldnt reach me. I then realised Id mistyped my phone number in my email to him. I quickly emailed him the number again. But mistyped it again. I then sent another email, carefully copying my own home number from my mobile phone, where its stored correctly. And I mistyped it again! The interview never happened, and I beat myself up the rest of the night wondering how I could get things so wrong. Merryn joked that my next round of interviews should be on the topic of dyslexia. I never knew I had it, but wonder if I should rethink my next book idea and change plans... :)
