I went to see Dinesh DSouzas new movie, America, yesterday with my good friend, Steve Simms, and then again today with my beloved green-eyed Silver Sweetie, Peggy. I cant recommend it strongly enough. Its one of the very best documentaries Im ever seen. DSouza starts off with a summary of the lefts scathing, vicious criticisms of America in five parts and says that each of the five major attacks focus on what the leftists call the evil of America that has resulted ...in the THEFT that has produced the wealth and prosperity of our nation. I wont tell you what the five criticisms are; see the flick for yourself. But then DSouza proceeds to demolish all five with facts, video clips, interviews and just plain common sense. He names names and interviews the good guys and the bad guys as well. And once he has run roughshod over all five of the lefts ferocious criticisms, he says (in a Hines paraphrase) the Revolutionary War was fought to create America, the Civil War was fought to preserve America, WWII was fought to protect America and today we fight to RESTORE America. He bemoans the fact that right now we dont seem to have a Washington, a Lincoln or a Reagan. But then he says we do have the indomitable American people, and he implies that is enough to restore America. Theres much, much more to the flick than Ive mentioned here. Please, please go see it and take a friend or two, preferrably a young friend. The young, DSouza makes clear, have been lied to about America. They need to be exposed to the truth. ~hh
