I think the host dead wood is probably Lucidem ligustrum (commonly known as Privet, a weed), which forms the majority of the tree species in this specific area along a creek line with a few scattered Eucalyptus amplifolias and mostly invasive Tradascantia as ground cover. Cant compete with the finds at Dooleys over the weekend but this is not a bad run for Doonside (a suburb in western Sydney, anyone who knows it will understand).
